Empower frontline communities in emergencies

When a disaster strikes, all too often international humanitarian aid is too slow, too costly, and sidelines local and national leaders who know their communities best.

But there’s a better way to help those in crisis. We’re supporting new legislation that would change the humanitarian response system so that communities can manage disaster response on their own, pulling in help when needed. And we need your help to get it introduced in Congress.

Take action now: Ask your member of Congress to sign on as an original co-sponsor of the STRIDE for Self-reliance Act, which will help put frontline communities at the heart of emergency preparedness and response.
