WE WANT TAX REFORM – NOT CUTS TO ANTI-POVERTY PROGRAMS
President Trump and Congressional leaders just released a new plan to give enormous tax cuts to big companies and the wealthiest Americans. These cuts will be paid for by gutting critical services to poor families in the US and around the world.
Tax dodging by big companies costs the US and poor countries more than $100 billion every year – all while poor countries struggle to provide even the most basic services to their people, and while millions of Americans struggle to make ends meet.
But instead of closing tax loopholes that hurt the poor, President Trump and Congressional leaders are proposing new, enormous tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans and corporations.
Tell your representatives in Congress that you will not stand for any tax plan that cuts programs for the poor while providing tax cuts to wealthy corporations and individuals:
Tax dodging by big companies such as Apple, Pfizer, and Wal-Mart cost the American people and poor countries each more than $100 billion per year. As your constituent, I'm calling on you to vote against this rigged tax reform plan and start over with measures that protect working people and those living in poverty here in the US and around the world.
