STOP FUELING THE HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IN YEMEN
As the international crisis in Yemen enters its fifth year, the situation there is growing more dire by the day. With close to 80% of its population in need of urgent assistance, Yemen is experiencing the world's largest humanitarian crisis.
US-supported Saudi-led coalition airstrikes are fueling hunger and disease by destroying health clinics, schools, factories, and farms on a daily basis. Instead of promoting peace, the US has fueled starvation and prolonged a human-made catastrophe by providing military support to the Saudi-led coalition.
As a result, nearly 16 million Yemenis don't know where their next meal is coming from.
Both the House and Senate have recently passed resolutions to end US military support to the Saudi-led coalition, called the Yemen War Powers Resolution. However, due to an unrelated amendment being attached to the House version of the resolution, the House needs to go back and pass a clean version of the War Powers Resolution before it can be sent to the White House.
It's urgent that you write to your representatives in the House now. Tell them to pass a clean Yemen War Powers Resolution AND reject any unrelated amendments being attached to the resolution. We need to let the President, the international community, and especially the Yemeni people know that Americans want this war to end.
